On Monday, we announced that we entered into an agreement to acquire Watson Asphalt Paving Company.
Watson is a full-service asphalt production and paving company serving Western Washington and the Greater Puget Sound area since the 1940s. Watson is based out of Redmond, WA, and also operates the Palmer gravel pit east of Kent.
As with Lakeside, Watson has been family-owned and operated since the very beginning and is committed to providing their customers with the highest-quality products and services. Recognizing that employees are their biggest asset, both Watson and Lakeside are committed to the well-being and success of their people. With their aligned priorities and focus on quality, this acquisition is a great fit for both organizations. Lakeside looks forward to the integration of these two companies and the success this will bring to the combined customers.

Through this transaction, Lakeside is eager to add the existing Watson and Palmer Pit employees to their current operations, integrating them into their teams. The transaction closed on Friday, July 14th, 2023.
