About Us

Community

We believe that progress starts right here at home, with the people and organizations that make up the fabric of our communities. This is why we are unwavering in our support for local charitable organizations and engaging our communities.

Lakeside Industries is dedicated to improving the lives of those who live and work in our communities and everyone impacted by our organization.

Our drive to give back is a direct reflection of our core values of community, safety, diversity, and above all - family. We live out these values through our steadfast community engagement and longstanding philanthropic impact through donating time, money, and matching employee gifts.

Over the years both Lakeside, as a company, and the Lee Family have given back to a variety of organizations, some of which include:

Community Giving

Lakeside Industries and the Lee Family believe in being an active member of the communities we work and live in. Through this belief, we are dedicated to supporting charitable organizations that make a difference in the lives of those around us. We pledge donations and volunteer hours annually to improve the health, education, and welfare of people and organizations in these communities.

Community Engagement

Inspiring the Next Generation

Lakeside has proudly developed our own comprehensive health and safety program that has evolved over the past 70 years tailored to meet the changing needs of our people and industry. We participate in various owner and contractor screening and pre-qualification programs, processes, and trainings. Year after year, these owners and contractors recognize us for our strong safety performance and practices, going above and beyond basic regulatory requirements with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.

Lakeside has worked with K-12 schools and numerous other organizations across Western Washington to educate young adults, students, and teachers on job opportunities in the construction industry and to inspire them to become involved at an early age. We participate in hands on career events, sit on advisory boards, conduct educator externships, and facilitate field trips to involve the greater community.

In addition to the K-12 organizations we participate in around Washington State, we also partner with the AGC Education Foundation, Construction Center of Excellence, and Career Connect Washington, and the Laborers, Operating Engineers, and Teamster unions. Through attending mock interviews, facilitating plant tours, speaking on panels, and attending other events hosted by these organizations, we work to not only promote our company, but our industry as a whole. These events include the Construction Career Days in Seattle, Puyallup, and Vancouver Dozer Days, and more.

Employee Matching Gifts Program

Maximizing Our Local Impact

At Lakeside Industries, we support our employees' charitable and community service interests. In 2007, we established a matching gifts program to help our employees make a greater impact in their communities. Our program matches employees' monetary donations at 200% and contributes matching funds for employee volunteer hours for any 501 (c) organization. We see our employees making a difference - and as their employer, we are here to lift them up.

To date, our matching gifts program has matched donations for hundreds of life-changing causes and programs. A few of the amazing programs we’ve impacted include The American Heart Society, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Progressive Animal Welfare Society, Fanconi Anemia Research Fund, and our local community schools.
