People Like You Make Us Successful

Lakeside Industries’ continued success is a direct result of the experience, loyalty, and diversity of our employees: a workforce of highly experienced people who pride themselves on quality workmanship.

At Lakeside we’re not just co-workers; we’re family. The average tenure of a Lakeside employee exceeds 14 years, with many people spending their entire working careers with the company. With that kind of longevity, we’re dedicated to fostering a productive, healthy workforce with positive workplace practices, competitive compensation, and opportunities for growth and personal development for all employees. Many of our supervisors and management personnel have worked their way up from field positions; we believe strongly in promoting from within.

We are proud to employ union laborers, operators, and teamsters in our field operations. We offer a variety of education and training opportunities for both union and salaried employees to equip them to grow their role, because we believe knowledge results in a better workforce and more fulfilling work.

Apprenticeship Program

Lakeside Industries participates in apprenticeship programs in conjunction with local trade unions as a way to train new employees and offer education for field staff. An apprenticeship provides technical instruction and supervised on-the-job training, coupled with steadily increasing pay.

Many of our supervisors and management personnel started as apprentices in field positions. Graduates of apprenticeship programs have opportunities for rewarding, well-paid careers in the construction industry.

APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM PARTNERS

Internship Program

The Lakeside Industries internship program provides college students and recent graduates the opportunity to apply what they have learned in class to real-world application in the construction industry. Our interns are offered compensation for their experience and are often eligible to receive school credit.

• Our internship program is open to college sophomores, juniors, and recent graduates.

• We offer program content in the areas of project management, risk & safety, environmental engineering, human resources, and information technology.

• Our ideal candidate has a preferred GPA of 3.30 or higher, has a positive can-do attitude, and is eager to learn & work in the fast-paced construction industry.

Interns take away valuable knowledge from the program: We’re not going to park you at a desk and have you input data; you’re going to have the opportunity to contribute to the needs—and success—of the company. Successful graduates of the program are strongly considered for future employment. If you are interested in our internship program, we encourage you to submit your resume for consideration. We look forward to hearing from you!
