Services

Paving Services on the Olympic Peninsula

From a single driveway outside Sequim to a stretch of county road near Forks, our Peninsula crews see a job through start to finish, using asphalt we make a few miles up the road instead of trucking it in from off the Peninsula.

Driveway Paving

We pave new driveways and repave cracked, sinking, or gravel-worn ones for homeowners across the Peninsula, from Port Angeles to Sequim, Port Townsend, and the smaller communities in between. This is one of four Lakeside Industries divisions that takes on residential driveway work.

Parking Lot Paving

We pave, patch, and restripe parking lots for retail centers, marinas, clinics, and other commercial properties throughout Clallam and Jefferson counties. A lot that already drains poorly or shows cracking only gets more expensive to fix the longer it waits, so we build ours to hold up to Peninsula weather from the start.

Asphalt Repair and Pothole Patching

Freeze and thaw cycles are hard on Peninsula asphalt, and our crews patch potholes and repair cracked or settled surfaces before a small problem turns into a bigger one. We work for both homeowners and property managers who need a quick, lasting fix.

Roads, Streets, and Highways

Our crews pave and maintain roads and highways for Clallam and Jefferson County road departments, the Washington State Department of Transportation, and private developers laying out new residential streets.

Airport Work

Airfield paving calls for tighter grading tolerances and closer coordination with the facility than a typical road job, and our crews bring that same discipline to any runway, taxiway, or apron work on the Peninsula.

Hot Mix Asphalt, EZ Street, and Crushed Rock at Port Angeles and Port Ludlow

Both of our Peninsula plants, Port Angeles and Port Ludlow, sell hot mix asphalt, EZ Street cold patch, and crushed rock by the ton. Contractors, county crews, and homeowners tackling a small repair all buy directly from us rather than through a broker. Hot mix needs to go down while it is still warm, so call the plant ahead of your visit to confirm what is on hand and when to pick it up.

Lake Sutherland Shared Road

In 2019, our crews took on a driveway job at Lake Sutherland for a group of more than twenty homeowners who shared a single road in and out. We removed the failing asphalt, repaired base failures underneath it, regraded and compacted new crushed rock, and paved the stretch in hot mix, working carefully because the road was the only way in or out for every home on it.

Hurricane Ridge Trail

In July 2020, we worked with Olympic National Park to grade and pave 1.6 miles of the Hurricane Ridge trail, on grades as steep as 20%, to improve accessibility. Sections were too narrow and too exposed for a dump truck, so the crew hauled asphalt up by track truck instead, over switchbacks with no cell coverage, to get the job done.
